This will be the last bit of ground to be broken for a while--we're moving out of Bedrock studios, and the fate of internet radio hangs uncertainly in the balance. But in the meantime, here's an episode featuring the great Sean Spillane of Arlo, Midway, and The Junior High! Listen in rapt attention as we discuss lots of things and play the Elvis Costello game. Featuring music by Mike Viola, The King Cheetah, XTC, Arlo, and The Junior High.

This week, I groundbreakingly decided I didn't wanna do much talking. So I just made a playlist and played it, sand commentary. It's a good playlist, comprising bands from the isgoodmusic family and also the Mike Viola/Bleu family: Candy Butchers, the Major labels, L.E.O., et cetera. So sit back and listen to some commentary-free melodic three-minute pop songs. You'll feel much better.

In this episode, I return to my groundbreaking roots--a guestless format where I blather on about stuff. In this case, I take the listener on a tour of the upgraded radio studio's new and innovative gadgetry. Featuring music by Secret Powers, Get Set Go, the Kris Special, the Monolators, the Fuxedos, the OAOTs, Obi Best, Mimes of Wine, Adam Marsland, the Hunting Accident, I Give Up, and the Power Cords.

This episode marks the first time in the show's groundbreaking history in which a guest has appeared more than once! In this episode, my band-mate and new next-door neighbor Mike TV and I discuss the Church of Rock and Roll, a new kind of music writing, and float the idea of "Makeout Hour" from 8 to 9 pm. Not with each other, obviously. Featuring music by Get Set Go, I Give Up, the Randies, Silver Needle, and the Monolators.

Episode 16--The "Cut and Reel Fill-In episode!"

This was an oddly groundbreaking one--my guest had canceled, but I was already co-hosting "Cut and Reel" right before my show, so Maureen Shampine and I just sort of spilled over into my show. The music is pretty Get Set Go-centric, since I used the playlist I was gonna use for the second Mike TV episode. I can't remember what we talked about, but it was probably a lot of gushing over "Inglourious Basterds."

It's the groundbreaking episode you've all probably not been waiting for! My guest this week is Mike TV, singer/songwriter/guitarist of Get Set Go--the band that I myself play in! In a vast whirlwind of unabashed self-promotion, Mike and I talk about musical things and make some geeky jokes, and we even play a few songs live! I don't think I have to explain how groundbreaking that is. Featuring the music of Get Set Go, i Give Up, the Kris Special, and the Monolators.

Episode 14--The Simon and Robin Holden Episode!

This episode is double-groundbreaking: first, it breaks ground by being the first of my shows to feature not one, not three, but TWO guests! Secondly, the groundbreaking continues as I am reunited with Simon and Robin Holden, with whom I was in the groundbreaking British-American rock and roll band called XUK. Listen as we discuss band things, British comedy things, and things involving the similarly named XTC. Featuring the music of XUK and XTC, with a special shout-out to drummer Simon Hancock at the very very end (because we forgot and he texted us).

Episode 13--The Mike Schnee/Wormstew Episode!

On this groundbreaking episode, my guest is the inimitable Mike Schnee of Wormstew/Pu$$y-Cow/Chissum Worthington fame! Listen as we discuss topics ranging from the Kiss or Kill Scene to songwriting to the genesis of ideas both sacred and profane. Featuring music by Wormstew, the Randies, Silver Needle, and XUK!
